Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Best Minecraft Servers ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use best-minecraft-servers.net.

Best Minecraft Servers is a Minecraft server list that lets visitors browse server listings, copy server IP addresses, vote for servers, and lets server owners submit or manage listings.

This policy applies only to Best Minecraft Servers. It does not apply to third-party Minecraft servers, Discord communities, server websites, or other external services linked from our site.

1. Contact information

For privacy questions or data requests, contact us at:

Email: [email protected]

Preferred / fastest contact method: discord.gg/tAkJhqeYjV

For account-specific requests, we may ask you to verify ownership of the email address connected to your account.

2. Information we collect

We collect information needed to operate the site, protect it from abuse, and provide server listing features.

Browsing and technical information

When you visit the site, we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, timestamps, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, request logs, and security-related signals.

We use this information for site operation, analytics, debugging, security, and abuse prevention.

Account information

If you create an account, log in, or manage listings, we may collect your email address, login timestamps, session data, authentication tokens or token hashes, IP-related security data, and account activity related to your listings.

Server listing information

If you submit or manage a Minecraft server listing, we may collect information such as server name, server IP or hostname, port, Bedrock IP or port, Minecraft version, gamemode tags, server description, banner uploads, listing status, owner account information, and moderation history.

Approved server listings are public. Public listing information may include the server name, IP address or hostname, port, banner, description, version, tags, player count, status, and vote count.

Do not submit server listing information that you do not want displayed publicly.

Voting information

When you vote for a server, we may collect the Minecraft username you enter, the server voted for, vote timestamp, cooldown records, vote status, and anti-abuse information such as hashed IP address, hashed username or user-agent data, and CAPTCHA or bot-check verification status.

We use this information to record votes, prevent duplicate voting, enforce vote limits, protect rankings, and reduce automated abuse.

Votifier vote delivery

Some listed servers use Votifier or similar vote-delivery systems to give in-game rewards. If you vote for a server with Votifier enabled, we may send vote data required by that system to the listed server. This may include your Minecraft username, the voting service name, timestamp, and IP address if required by the protocol.

We do not share your account email address with server owners through the voting feature. After vote data is delivered to a third-party Minecraft server, that server is responsible for how it handles the data it receives.

Messages and support requests

If you contact us by email, Discord, contact form, or another support channel, we may collect your email address, Discord username or handle, message contents, screenshots or files you provide, and related support correspondence.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • operate and maintain the website;
  • display public Minecraft server listings;
  • let users copy server addresses;
  • process votes and enforce vote cooldowns;
  • prevent spam, fraud, bots, duplicate votes, and abuse;
  • deliver Votifier vote notifications when enabled by a server owner;
  • authenticate accounts and protect account access;
  • let server owners submit and manage listings;
  • review, approve, reject, edit, or remove listings;
  • respond to support requests;
  • monitor performance and fix technical issues;
  • understand site usage through analytics;
  • enforce our rules and Terms of Service;
  • protect our rights, users, and website; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand traffic patterns, improve page layouts, improve listing quality, and make product decisions.

4. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

Best Minecraft Servers may use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, security, login sessions, form protection, temporary site state, anti-abuse checks, and analytics.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website and to improve the site. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location, referrer information, timestamps, interaction data, and cookies or similar identifiers.

We do not run third-party display ads on Best Minecraft Servers. We do not use advertising cookies for third-party ad targeting, and we do not use Google Analytics for remarketing or ad targeting.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent login, voting, forms, security checks, and other site features from working correctly.

5. Anti-abuse and security checks

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile or similar anti-abuse tools to help determine whether a vote, login, form submission, or other action is being performed by a real person instead of an automated bot.

These tools may process technical signals such as IP address, browser data, user-agent information, sitekey, origin, and verification results. We use these checks to prevent spam, fraudulent votes, automated abuse, and attacks against the site.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information in limited situations:

  • with service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, email, back up, monitor, or operate the website;
  • with listed Minecraft servers when Votifier or similar vote delivery is enabled;
  • when required by law, legal process, subpoena, court order, or valid government request;
  • when needed to protect our rights, users, rankings, website security, or to investigate fraud or abuse; or
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar business transfer.

7. Third-party Minecraft servers and external links

Best Minecraft Servers lists third-party Minecraft servers, but we do not operate those servers unless clearly stated otherwise.

When you copy a server IP, join a Minecraft server, visit a server website, join a Discord server, or interact with a third-party community, that third party may collect information under its own rules and privacy practices.

Third-party Minecraft servers may collect information such as your Minecraft username, IP address, gameplay activity, chat messages, moderation history, and connection logs.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, moderation, or behavior of third-party Minecraft servers or external services.

8. Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Account information may be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, backup, dispute, abuse-prevention, and legal purposes.

Server listing information may be kept while a listing is active, pending, rejected, or under review, and may be retained afterward for moderation history, fraud prevention, backups, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

Vote records and cooldown records may be kept as needed to maintain vote counts, prevent duplicate voting, protect ranking integrity, and detect abuse. Hashed anti-abuse records may be retained longer where needed to enforce limits and protect the site.

Support messages may be kept as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and protect the site.

Backups may retain information for a limited period before routine deletion or overwrite.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information.

To make a privacy request, contact us at [email protected]. You may also contact us through Discord for faster communication, but we may require email verification before processing account-specific requests.

We may deny, limit, or delay a request where allowed by law, including where information is needed for security, fraud prevention, vote integrity, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, public listing records, or enforcement of our Terms.

10. Children's privacy

Best Minecraft Servers is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Children under 13 should not create an account, submit listings, vote, or send personal information to us without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at [email protected] and we will review the request.

Users under 18 should use the site only with permission from a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

Best Minecraft Servers is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by posting a notice on the website or contacting account holders where appropriate.
