Minecraft Earth Servers

Earth servers focus on replicating the real world inside Minecraft, with maps normally using scales like 1:500 and 1:1000, letting players choose to live in specific parts of the world like countries, rivers, etc. Unlike normal Minecraft servers where the world is either infinite or has large borders, Earth servers have a finite amount of land which makes claiming and protecting land a big part of the gameplay. In order to protect builds from griefers, servers use the same claiming system Towny servers use. Most servers also have a major focus on the in-game economy, often using gold ingots instead of a virtual balance. Since land is limited, that economy ties into the geopolitical gameplay as players use money to expand claims, form nations, build alliances and defend or fight over territory.
